We accept only good quality items, they must meet our high standard so you can trust you'll be happy with the quality of what you're buying. Currently we sell women's clothes, shoes and handbags, and will soon expand to include men's and children's clothes.

What quality assurance does The Closet provide for the items that they list?

We accept only good quality items, they must meet our high standard so you can trust you'll be happy with the quality of what you're buying. We employ skilled staff that thoroughly inspect each item before we list it for sale. Poor quality or items that are dirty, torn, and/or damaged are rejected and will not be accepted or posted on the The Closet website as for sale. We also do our best to accurately describe items that are for sale. All items sold are photographed. We do our best to photograph items true to colour. Please refer to our Returns Policy if you are not satisfied with the quality of an item bought from The Closet.

What is the strikethrough price next to the asking price for an item that is for sale on your website?

The strikethrough price is the estimated recommended retail price for the item if it was bought new and before any discounts. The Closet does its best to research prices for specific or similar items in order to arrive at an estimate as to what items would cost if bought from a retailer that stocks the specific brand but we do not guarantee that this information is accurate or correct. Buyers should do their own research before buying an item from The Closet.

What if the item I buy is not right?

Please refer to our Returns Policy for more information. If the item is not what you expected or does not fit, a refund may be possible, or we may offer to substitute it with another item. As each of our clothing items are a one-off it is not possible to replace the item.

I’m not sure what size I am?

Please refer to our sizing chart. The Closet cannot guarantee any item will be true to size, and therefore, we cannot guarantee that any item will fit you.

How long do items remain in my shopping cart?

The Closet typically only stock one item of a specific type, brand and size. We strive to give all our customers an equal chance to buy amazing items at great prices. After one hour of abandoning your shopping cart (we know sometimes you can be interrupted and forget to go back to your shopping), we will email you to remind you to buy the items in your shopping cart. Other shoppers have the opportunity to add these items into THEIR shopping carts so don't give them the chance to buy the items you love. If you do not check out and buy your items, other shoppers can swoop in and buy them.

I came back to my shopping cart but the item I wanted to buy has gone

An item is not yours until you checkout. Other shoppers have the opportunity to add items into THEIR shopping carts so don't give them the chance to buy the items you love. Checkout as soon as you've made your selections. If two shoppers put an item in their shopping cart at the same time, the shopper who checks out first is the one who buys the item.

Are items that I place in My Wish List reserved for me?

No, items that you select are not reserved exclusively for you, they remain for sale to everyone so be sure to buy quickly to avoid being disappointed.

How do I apply a discount code to my order?

You can enter a discount code, once you view your shopping cart before the checkout. Once you’ve typed in your discount code, make sure you click, “Apply Coupon Code”.

May I use my credit balance to pay for items?

If your account has a credit balance you may use it to pay for your items upon checkout.

Do I have to pay tax?

Items sold in Australia, including online, attract 10% GST. Prices quoted include GST.
